PRE-WAXING

In preparation for your waxing appointment, consider the following:

Hair Length: Make sure your hair is long enough: at least 1/4″ to a 1/2″ long. If you can pull your hair with your finger tips, it is likely long enough.

Moisturize: Make sure to moisturize waxing area prior to your appointment to help soften the hair follicle.

Exposure: Do not tan the area you plan to wax 24 to 48 hours before appointment.

Hydration: You are more likely to feel discomfort if you are dehydrated. Be sure to drink plenty of water the day prior to your appointment. Avoid consuming alcohol or significant amounts of caffeine before your reservation. Both can cause your pores to tighten, resulting in a more uncomfortable experience.

Relax! The more relaxed you are, the better the waxing experience will be.

POST WAXING

The following should be avoided post waxing.

Exposure: No tanning, tanning beds, hot showers, hot tubs, hot saunas, hot yoga or hot anything at least 48 hours after waxing. In a warm shower use a gentle, mild soap to cleanse any remaining residue left behind from waxing.

Products: No oils, creams, lotions, or perfumes.

Friction: It is best to wear comfortable clothing. No running, jogging, cycling, hiking, tight jeans/clothing or sex for at least 6 hours.

Exercise/Sweat: Your sweat is acidic and contained bacteria which can cause irritation, if you sweat right after a wax. No spin class, Zumba, pole fitness, boxing, running, jogging, hiking, biking, pilates or yoga directly after waxing.
